Obscure & Fucked Music Videos

Monday, March 9, 2009

A special, long overdue edition is presented today. Today we are celebrating the gone but not forgotten kings of soul music. Soul music has taken a hit in recent years with some of the biggest legends in the music passing away. Featured today are seven R&B stars of notoriety (and in at least one or two cases, those that will live on in infamy): Barry White, James Brown, Rick James, Isaac Hayes, Gerald Levert, Marvin Gaye, and Luther Vandross.

Barry White - Just The Way You Are
from the album "The Man" (20th Century, 1978)

Rick James - Give It To Me Baby
from the album "Street Songs" (Motown, 1981)

James Brown - Papa's Got A Brand New Bag
from the album "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" (King, 1965)

Gerald Levert feat. Antoinette Roberson - Taking Everything
from the album "Love & Consequences" (EastWest, 1998)

Isaac Hayes - Shaft 2000
from the album "Music from and Inspired by Shaft" (LaFace, 2000)

Marvin Gaye - Sexual Healing
from the album "Midnight Love" (Columbia, 1982)

Luther Vandross - Dance With My Father
from the album "Dance With My Father" (J, 2003)
